Internship Opportunities

Get your students and athletes involved!

DigitalSports is currently looking for high school students and/or athletes interested in pursuing a journalism, sports journalism or photography career. Our site not only acts as a public forum for members of communities to share school spirit, news and media about their school and teams, but it is also a place where students and those passionate about writing can share their talents.

Once students begin contributing to DigitalSports, they will automatically be creating a web-based student journalism portfolio that can be used when applying to colleges. Writing and reporting for DigitalSports will also give students valuable real-world experiences.

We are constantly striving to get students that are interested in journalism actively involved in writing and reporting about their school, teams and athletes. We firmly believe in helping these students develop the skills needed throughout their careers.

Here is a list of what your students can participate in:

• Journalism – Learn writing skills by submitting articles, features, inspirational stories and narrative text for captions under photos to DigitalSports.
• Photography – You can represent DigitalSports at games and events, taking photos that have an opportunity to be published on our website – locally, regionally or nationally. We can offer a Photography Club page on your school’s DigitalSports site.
• Videography – You can learn how to film games and events; video interviews and behind the scenes memories. Your videos can be uploaded onto the DigitalSports site and, subject to review by your teacher, may be published on our community, regional or national site.
• Web Design – Use the DigitalSports site to experience uploading of content; navigation of web sites, publishing of articles, photos and videos; graphic designing of your school’s colors, banners, background and more.

Our goal has always been to promote high school team, athlete and student achievement through responsible journalism within school communities and feel that having students with a passion for writing would be the perfect fit for contributing to DigitalSports.
